5K/10K Run/Walk

Race Location: Greater Hazleton Rails to Trails. Registration begins at 7am at the parking lot.
Directions: Near the Intersection of PA 93 & 424.
Course Description:
5k – Take the trail to Dreck’s Creek and back.
10k – Easy, downhill route into downtown, with flat terrain on all city streets. Moderately hilly return back up to the trail. Head west on Broad St from the parking lot until you reach Wyoming St. Turn Left, going south until you reach Juniper St. Turn Right. When you reach Laurel St., make another right. Then, turn right on Acacia Ave, until you reach Wyoming St again. Turn right. Complete the Downtown Loop one more time and then return back to the trailhead going back down Broad St.
Want to run for free? At the end of registration you will receive a Registration URL that is unique to you. If you have 5 friends sign-up for the Adult 5K race using that unique code, your registration fee will be refunded. Please share your code on Facebook, Twitter, and email to encourage your friends to join you in this race.
Awards: Top male and female for each race will receive plaque. Top three for each race in the following age groups will receive medals: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. Top five male and female in 5k walk will receive medals.
Proceeds: Benefit Hazleton POWER, Hazleton YMCA/YWCA and GHACP to help us promote healthy lifestyles and outdoor recreation, and to bring more people back Downtown and on the Greater Hazleton Rails to Trails.
Entry Cost information: Pre-registration deadline/entry cost: September 18, $20 with T-shirt. Cost of day of the race: $25. Guaranteed T-shirts to all full price paid participants by the pre-registration deadline.
