Challenge yourself to run or walk at least one mile every day in February and March!
This event has already taken place and registration ended on March 31, 2023 at 12:00 AM.

From the Organizer

Similar to the Winter Challenge, but with a "3 strikes, you're out" rule so you can miss two days and remain active in the challenge.

This is the third leg of the Charity Challenge Trifecta:

  1. Holiday Challenge - Black Friday to New Year's Eve
  2. Winter Challenge - January 1 to January 31
  3. Winter Challenge Overtime - February 1 to March 31

Different levels available to challenge everyone!

You can challenge yourself to any level, and can change your mind at anytime because you don't have to indicate the level when signing up. You can start on a higher level, and drop down to a lower level if you can't hit the daily mileage.  But, if you miss three days, you’re out!

-- Bronze = run/walk 1 mile/day

-- Silver = run/walk 3 miles/day

-- Gold = run/walk 5 miles/day

-- Winter Warrior = run/walk 1 mile/day outdoors

For each level, you must run the minimum mileage every day, not just averaging that mileage. So if you run 5+ miles for 30 days, and 1 mile for 1 day, you will finish at the Bronze Level due to that 1 day of lower mileage. Each level is determined by your actual daily mileage, not your average daily mileage. The app tracks your daily total, so if you run three miles in the morning and another three miles in the evening, you'll have six miles for that day and qualify for the gold level. 100% of proceeds to charity!

The 2023 Overtime Challenge is produced by Boston based 501(c)(3) nonprofit RACE Cancer Foundation, and will help us raise thousands of dollars to battle skin cancer at MGH Cancer Center.

Log your runs in the new & improved Raceday app.

You can register and log runs for multiple runners via the same login. (see below) You will have two ways to log runs, either via a mobile website (Raceday web version) which can be accessed from any web browser at racemenu.com/raceday, or via RaceMenu's Raceday iOS mobile app which you can download from the App Store or by visiting racemenu.com/racedayios (note: if you have an older version of Raceday on your phone, you'll need to update to v2.0.5 or later) Sorry, there is no Android app so please use racemenu.com/raceday on non-iOS devices)

You'll have four days to log each daily run. For example, you have until 11:59pm on February 5th to log your February 1st run, or until 11:59pm March 20th to log your March 16th run. If you miss the 4-day deadline, that day counts as a missed day--no exceptions.

Challenges are more fun with friends.  Refer others for your chance to win some great prizes!

After you register, you will be provided with a unique Sharelink. Send that Sharelink to your friends and have them register for the Winter Challenge. You can track your referrals when they register via your Sharelink.

Join the Team Challenge for extra bragging rights!

The Winter Challenge is much more fun when you create a team and get your friends and family involved. There's strength in numbers, because the total mileage for all team members determines your team's ranking on the mileage leaderboard, while there's also a leaderboard for average miles per team member to keep smaller teams in the fray.
