Come join us on this very relaxing race course. Enjoy a race with little to no traffic through the entire run. We will wind through country roads alongside fields full of hundreds of different chirpings from hundreds of birds. Not to mention hundreds of butterflies that will also be flying around you as you run. Don’t worry about your final time for now, just come out and enjoy a route designed to relax you. See you April 27, 2014 on the first ever scenic 13.1 mile race in The City of Mission.
RUN-STRONG EVENT INFORMATION
EVENT PARKING:
Lot 1: South of Hike & Bike Trails
Lot 2: Triple J Machine Shop (across from Hike & Bike, east side of Conway Rd.)
Lot 3: Pueblo Tires (south of Expressway 83, east side of Conway Rd.)
Note: There will be no public parking at Hike & Bike.
Do Not Park along S. Conway Rd. This is part of the race course.
WATER STATIONS:
There will be water stations every 2 miles. (Start/Finish)

T-shirt, bibs & registration will be available from 9am-11am & 5pm-7pm at Hike & Bike from April 24-26, 2014. Shirts will be given to the first 100 to register. Anyone registering late WILL get a shirt but you must pick it up one week later, May 4, 2014 from 9AM-11AM at Hike & Bike Trails. ON-LINE REGISTRATION: www.RaceMenu.com
RACE START TIME: 7:00AM
DESCRIPTION OF RACE ROUTE: (MAP)
Start & Finish line will be inside of Hike & Bike.
S. Conway- Runners will run south on Conway and turn west onto Military Parkway.
Military Parkway- Runners will run west. At the intersection of Old Military Rd & Inspiration Rd, Half-Marathoners will turn left onto Old Military Rd and 10K runners will turn right
And loop back into the Hike & Bike Trail. 10K runners will follow the trail all the way back to the parking lot in front of S. Conway to the Finish Line.
Old Military Rd.-runners will follow the road past the National Butterfly building and turn south on Bentsen Rd. Once they reach Military Parkway, they will turn east and run along the Hike & Trail.
Military Parkway- runners will run on the Hike & Bike asphalt trail off and along Military Parkway. Once they reach Schuerback Rd, runners will run north on that road.
Schuerback Rd. - runners will run north on Schuerback, pass Idea Academy (6th Mile & 3rd water station). Once runners reach Mile 1 S, they will turn east onto Mile 1 S.
Mile 1 South- runners will run past Inspiration Rd. and will turn right on to Seven Oaks Resort (Scenic Way). Once inside, runners will follow River Bend Rd until they exit onto Inspiration Rd. and run south.
Inspiration Rd.- runners will exit Seven Oaks Resort (River Bend Rd) on S. Inspiration Rd. Runners will run south along Inspiration Rd all the way to almost getting to Military Parkway.
Once there, runners will enter Hike & Bike Trails Park. Runners will run along the asphalt trail all the way back to the parking lot of Hike & Bike Trails, finish the race where it originally started.
FINISH LINE: All runners will finish the last 2.6 miles inside the Hike & Bike Trail. Finish line will be at the parking lot of Hike & Bike entrance.

RACING WITHOUT A BIB: Run Strong is here to promote running. One of our main reasons we created Run-Strong is to FIGHT DIABETES! We welcome you to come out and run even if you can’t pay. You will not be eligible for a t-shirt nor an award. No one will stop you or pull you out during the race. We truly love to run and we welcome everyone to run with us not just on this particular day but any day of the week. We meet Monday-Thursday 6:30pm & Saturday 7am. It’s time to get fit!
