The 5K (3.1 mile) race is a cross-country type race that will take you through our beautiful camp and around our lake. It has a mixture of paved, gravel, and grassy paths. Includes some hills.

In order to comply with CDC guidelines and group size recommendations, the following will be the format of our Turkey Bowl event this year:

*The 1 mile Children's Fun Run will not be held this year.

*The 5k Race will be a Time Trial start format. The race will be scored off of chip time measured from your individual start time to your finish time. There will be multiple start times running every 20 minutes beginning at 7:20 a.m. and the last start time will be at 10:00 a.m. You will need to sign up for your start time when you register.

  • 5k Race is $26.00 through 11/12/2020 and $32.00 after 11/12/2020.

    ***For Runners 10 & under - we are offering a $5.00 discount - use code “YOUTH” (kids only please)

• Times:

  • Starting times will be begin at 7:20 a.m. and run every 20 minutes. The last starting time will be at 10:00 a.m.

• Check-in and race packet pick-up will begin on 11/26/2020 at 7:00 a.m.

• Sponsored by: The race is sponsored by area businesses. (see below)

• Awards:

  • All participants who finish the 5k Race will receive a Finisher's Medal.

  • First place trophies to the overall female and male runners of the 5K race.

  • Medals to the top three male and female finishers in each age group in the 5K Race.

  • Chip Timing for the 5k Race will be provided by Second Wind Race Timing.

  • We will not have an awards ceremony at the end of the race. Awards will be available for pick up at the camp beginning Friday, November 27, 2020.

• Age Groups: Both women and men are: 11 & Under, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and up.

• Course Records: The top overall times for the 2018 5k course were 18:10 for males and 20:52 for females.

*In keeping with the current guidelines of max numbers of people on campus at a time, runners will be asked to arrive in time to pick up their race packet and head to the starting line to begin their race. When each runner finishes their race, we kindly ask for you to head out of camp, so we can prepare for the next group of runners.

*Because we are running multiple trials, race results will not be posted at the finish line. Results will be available on the Second Wind Race Timing website. Final results will be posted after the last group has finished.

*Masks are required by all participants during check-in/packet pickup, and when using any indoor restroom facilities.  Please practice social distancing, and maintain at least 6 ft distance from any other participants not in your family household at all times while you are on camp.  Masks are not required while warming up or during your race.
