The Deerfield Community School (DCS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will be hosting our Second Annual Triathlon! The participants will start out with a swim in Pleasant Lake, using Veasey Park as a transition area. They will then mount bikes for a 13 mile bike ride through the town of Deerfield ending their ride at the Community School. The racers will then complete the event by running ‘Parade Loop’ and through our own cross country trail. This inaugural event will take place on Saturday, July 28th, 2018.
The goal of the Deerfield PTO is to support the parents, teachers and students achieve the mission of DCS. The mission of the school is To inspire each student to think, to learn, to achieve, to create and to care. In order to support the mission of the school, funds are needed to attend field trips, provide up-to-date uniforms, host authors, thank students and teachers for hard work with festivities (ice cream truck visit for example), and assist in school improvements. Buses to take participants from DCS to the start line (we are assuming that participants will set up their bikes at veasey prior to the start of the race)
Cost: Per participant: $75 until May 1st, $85 until July 1, $95 until July 15. NO Race day registrations
Per Relay team: $150 until May 1st, $175 until July 15. NO Race day registrations
Teams: Register 6 participants as a team and receive one registration free! (all 6 participate in all events)
