What is For the Health of It!?

For the Health of It! is a 5k/10k Race | Walk | Fun Run that raises money for Taos Cancer Support Services. The event is presented by Holy Cross Hospital and supported by local businesses. All of the funds raised will stay in the greater Taos area.

What is the Wall of Honor?

For the Health of It! remembers and honors all those who have struggled with cancer in our community. The Wall of Honor will be displayed at the Walk/Run. Teams and individ- uals can share their stories, or those of their friends and family members, on the Wall of Honor at www.taoshealth.com.

Why Form a team?

For the Health of It! is about local businesses and families coming together with health providers to support people in our community struggling with cancer. By walking or running, we all support friends, neighbors and families in Taos County who are struggling with cancer.

Teams often come up with a meaningful (and sometimes playful) name that they use to unite under. Some-times you even see teams design a team t-shirt, hats, pins and other “swag” that they wear the day of the event. It’s all about building team spirit and bonding together around a cause.

What is a For the Health of It! Team?

•A team is made up of people who walk or run together

• Businesses can have teams · Families can have teams · You and your friends can have a team

•Team members raise money by asking for donations from friends, family, and co-workers •Every Team needs a Team Captain who will be responsible for making sure that each

team member registers, raises donations and arrives at the event at 7am on June 10th.
