Summit to Summit is unlike any other race course because of the uniqueness offered by the Scotts Bluff National Monument. This route combines road and trail, both uphill and downhill, to create a 7.2-mile course that is one monumental challenge!

Summit to Summit is a 7.2-mile Run/Walk/Shuttle that starts on the Summit Christian College (SCC) campus in Gering, Neb., follows a paved pathway west to the Scotts Bluff National Monument Visitor's Center, ascends the Monument via Summit Road, and then returns via the same route.


Why should I run Summit to Summit? This 7.2-mile run will be professionally timed by RaceRite. The course is beautiful, tough, and well-organized to create a race experience unlike any other! Also, check out our NEW Christian Services Expo, with its dozens of ministry and Christian service exhibitors, while on campus. Support Summit Christian College in the 9th Annual Summit to Summit!


All registration fees include a T-Shirt and Swag Bag. Please pre-register by Friday, May 5 to guarantee your T-shirt/bag. Registrations received after May 5 or on the day of the event will receive T-Shirt/Swag Bag as supplies are available.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday, May 12, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pre-registered entrants may pick up their race packets at Summit Christian College

 

Saturday, May 13 at Summit Christian College campus

Registration - 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. at SCC Campus (All Timed Runners/Timed Walkers are strongly encouraged to pre-register by May 5, however registrations will be taken the morning of the event)


Runners - Pistol Start - 7:30 a.m. at SCC Campus


Timed Walkers - Pistol Start - 7:35 a.m. at SCC Campus. In order to walk all the way to the summit of Scotts Bluff National Monument, walkers must register as Timed Walkers and start at the pistol start.


NOTE: All Runners and Timed Walkers must be off SBNM’s Summit Road by 10:00 a.m. A shuttle will run up Summit Road to pick up any runners or walkers still on the road. SBNM’s Summit Road will be closed to all foot traffic and pedestrians at 10:00 a.m. 


Casual Walkers (non-timed) and Shuttle Riders – Open start at 7:45 a.m. at SCC Campus. Casual Walkers will have access to all Scotts Bluff National Monument walking trails open to the public. Shuttles will run from the SCC campus to the top of the Monument between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Casual Walkers will not be allowed to walk on Summit Road at any time during the timed run/walk event. 


Ascend Christian Services Expo - 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at SCC Campus

Food booths, concessions, bounce houses, kids' fun - 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 at SCC Campus

Wristband pass for unlimited children’s bounce houses and games $3 (available at the event)
