The Hazleton YMCA/YWCA, is proud to announce the 9th annual Anthracite Youth Splash & Dash.  The event will be held at Mauch Chunk Lake Park.   

WHEN:  Saturday, July 15th, 2017.  Athlete Check-in will be from 8:00am-8:30am.The Splash & Dash swim will start at 9:00am.   Swimmers will be sent in waves determined by age group.   

AGE GROUPS:  Awards will be divided by age groups; 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-18.    Age will be determined as age the day of the meet.

COURSE:  Athletes 8 and under will swim  50 yards, run 50 yards, swim 50 yards, and then complete a .25 mile run.  Athletes 9&10 will swim 50 yards, run 50 yards, swim 50 yards, and then complete a .5 mile run.  Athletes 11 & up will swim 100 yards, run 100 yards, swim 100 yards, and then complete a 1 mile run.

AWARDS:  Commemorative back pack will be guaranteed to all athletes registered prior to July 1st.   Age group medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd swimmers per age group.  Ribbons will be awarded 4th – 10th place.

    RULES & SAFETY:  All races will follow the 2017 USAT rules and regulations.  Hazleton Y lifeguards, and volunteers will provide safety for this event.  Swimmers will swim inside the roped swim area at the Mauch Chunk Lake Park.
