A new Thanksgiving tradition is coming to Wellesley.
The Turkey5 Road Race is the best way to start your holiday season. With both 5K and 5Mile courses, the Turkey5 offers something for everyone. Starting and finishing at Linden Square, you will run through the beautiful Wellesley College campus and the marathon’s famous “Scream Tunnel” section before seeing the “1 mile to go” sign.
Race day schedule:
6:30am – registration opens
7:30am – registration closes
8:00am – race begins (both 5K & 5M)
FREE Turkey5 tshirt for the first 1,000 entrants only!
SHIRTS SOLD OUT! Bibs 1-1,000 get shirts.
Entry fee $35
Entry fee increases to $40 on 11/21 - advance registration only.

Number pick-up:
At Sportsclub/LA - Chestnut Hill - Pick-up in person before race day and receive a special gift from Sports Club/LA plus a generous charter membership discount reserved exclusively for Turkey5 entrants!
Monday Nov 19: 4pm-7pm
Tuesday Nov 20: 10am-7pm (bib numbers 1-1,100 only)
Wednesday Nov 21: 10am-5pm (bib numbers 1-1,100 only)
NOTE: see map; we're at the sales office which is detached from the mall in the western end of the parking lot.
Numbers may also be picked up at the race on Thursday: 6:30am-7:30am
Perks for team captains:
Create a team (same fee, includes 5K or 5M entry), recruit at least 4 teammates and you’ll get free into our Miss Santa Holiday 5K! (we may also have extra swag for ya!)
Walkers, dogs and strollers:
Walkers welcome on the 5K course. Dogs and strollers welcome in either race - please start from the back.
Chip timing:
The Turkey5 is a chip-timed event. The chip goes on your shoe and must be returned at the end of the race.
Awards categories:
Top 3 Male & female overall ($500 cash purse for 5-Miler) and age group awards: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Overall awards are based on gun time; age group awards are based on chip time. We also have awards for the fastest 5K team, fastest 5-miler team and largest combined team.
Team scoring:
A team must have three finishers, at least one female, to be scored in either race. Team result is based on the cumulative time of the team’s top female, top male and next fastest runner. We also have an award for the largest team based on number of finishers in both races, regardless of finishing time.
Bag check:
As with all RACE events, there will be secure bag-check area (near start/finish line) for all participants.
We need volunteers!
We are seeking volunteers to help with several aspects of the event. Volunteers receive free entry into the Miss Santa Holiday 5K. Volunteers, please sign up here!
It pays to tell your friends!
Races are more fun with friends and we reward our runners for referring others to our events. When you register, you’ll get a “share link” in your confirmation email so that RaceMenu can track your referrals. As always, we’ll have awesome prizes for the top referrers.
Postponement, Cancellation and Refund Policy:
In the event of inclement weather, the event may be postponed to another date. No refunds will be issued due to conflicts with the postponement date. If RACE must cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control, no refunds will be issued. Please remember, all proceeds go to charity.
