The Westport Fishermen’s Association is hosting their 13th Annual Run for the Water on May 6, 2017. New 10K course length this year with cash awards for top finishers. The 5K Family Fun Run/Walk returns, with fun prizes for top families and other categories.  Free t-shirt for all pre-registered entrants. 

ONLINE REGISTRATION ENDS MAY 5TH at 8 PM. 

Be sure to save the date and join us! Run a beautiful, flat and fast 10K course that loops through Horseneck State Beach with ocean and river views, or walk or run a 5K course with friends and family for fun. Water stations along the way. Choose between the 10K and 5K option at registration.

All proceeds support our efforts to protect & preserve the Westport River and its fish habitat, as well as our scholarship and marine education programs. Visit our website for more information and current weather conditions. 

Prizes: Top three male and female 10K runners win cash awards and medals. Fun prizes for top Fun Run individuals, families/teams and various other participant categories. All runners will enjoy a delicious post-race feast, courtesy of The Back Eddy .

Race T-Shirts:  Guaranteed for all who register by April 30^th. After this date, registrants can select from remaining stock at the race course, while supplies last. Any extra shirts still available at the conclusion of the races can be purchased for an additional donation.

Fees: 

From April 2nd to May 5^th the pre-registration fee is $25. 

Kids 14 & under can pre-register for $15. 

Family maximum pre-registration fee is $60. 

WFA members receive a $5 discount on the registration fee. Members may request a discount coupon code by emailing wfa@westportriver.org. 

NOTE: Pre-registration ends at 8 PM on May 5th. 

Race day entry fees are increased by 20%. To speed onsite registration you can download an entry form from http://westportriver.org/run-for-the-water/

Families & Teams:  Families of 3+ members should select the Family registration option for the $60 maximum fee. 

If you are the first person to register for a team, please select the 'Team Captain' button and then register your team name while registering yourself. You will then enter your team's name for others to join. If someone else already registered your team, choose the Team member option.   You will then be asked to select 'no team' or your team name. If you don't see your team's name, you can back out and start over as 'Team Captain.'
