Online registration has closed for the Marathon Sports 5-Miler, but registration is still available in-person at Marathon Sports in Wellesley (255 Washington Street) through 2pm on Thursday. Registration will also be available on race day at the course (Weston High Scool, 444 Wellesley St.) starting at 5pm on Thursday.

ABOUT THE RACE
Now entering its 35th year, the Marathon Sports 5-Miler just keeps getting bigger and better. Way back when, the race's history began as a certified 5.2-mile race in the town of Holliston, and was held on the second Thursday in July.
The race stayed in Holliston for a handful of years before soon finding a new home in Wellesley on the third Thursday in July. After 17 fantastic years in Wellesley, we once again had to find a new place to call our own, and ever since we've been running our mid-summer classic starting and finishing at the Weston High School.
The course is a moderately difficult certified 5-mile combination of hilly roads, grass, and trails, starts like a shoulder-to-shoulder cross country classic, and finishes with a flourish on the Weston High School track.

Registration is $20 before July 4th (late registration is $25), and the first 700 registrants are entitled to our much coveted Marathon Sports 5-Miler technical t-shirt from Brooks.
Water stops are available on the course, and one of the post-race food spreads around is ready to greet the hungry at the finishing area.
BACK FOR 2010
After construction forced us to reroute our course in 2008, we are back on track to return to our celebrated road and trail course.
To mark the return to our roots, we've decided to inject a little friendly competition and some new life into the race. This year, in conjunction with Brooks, we're hosting our second annual Coed Team Challenge.
Teams of Four (2 men and 2 women exclusively) will vie for the right to be crowned champions of the Marathon Sports 5-Miler, to be revered and honored for the rest of the year. On top of the bragging rights, Brooks will be providing the winning team with an exclusive shopping spree to help outfit the team so they can dress like the champions they are!
Registration costs $72 per team, so grab some friends and get ready to throw down in and old fashioned cross country ramble.
KID'S MILE
And just so the little ones don't feel left out, we're excited to offer a little Under-13 competition on the Weston High School track.
Starting at 6pm and limited to 100 little harriers, this FREE 4-lapper is open to any children under the age of 13, and should be a blast to run and to watch.
CHARITY BENEFIT
100% of the profits this year and in years past go to our friends over at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in their noble quest to fight blood cancers.
NUMBER PICKUP
Race number and shirt pickup will be available at Marathon Sports in Wellesley (255 Washington St/Rt. 16) on the following days:
Sunday, July 18th, 12pm-6pm
Monday, July 19th, 10am-7pm
Tuesday, July 20th, 10am-7pm
Wednesday, July 21st, 10am-7pm
Pickup will also be available at the race course starting area on race day, but please remember to allow plenty of time for traffic and race preparation.
