From the Organizer
The CK5K welcomes runners and walkers of all levels and ages! This year's race/walk will take place in person on Saturday, September 23 at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School (Address: 1345 Sumneytown Pike, Gwynedd Valley, PA 19437). Pre-race activities will begin at 8am, with the race/walk at 9am. The event will take place virtually from Saturday, September 16 through Sunday, September 24. Both in person and virtual participants will receive a CK5K t-shirt (if registered by September 1st). We encourage all participants to post their run/walk on social media using #CK5K.
Registration: $30 (plus $2.98 processing fee). Online registration will be open through September 22 and in-person registration from 8-8:30am on September 23.
Donations: If you'd like to donate to the race, you can do so on www.gmahs.org/ck5k
T-Shirts: If you register by September 1st, you will be guaranteed a CK5K t-shirt. After September 1st, t-shirts will be given as supplies last. In person participants can pick-up their t-shirts on race day, and virtual participants will be mailed their shirts to their home address provided during registration.
CK5K Sponsors: Please visit gmahs.org/CK5K or email Kassie Keen '08 (kbkeen4@gmail.com) and Amy Interrante '10 (amyinterrante31@gmail.com) for information on how to sponsor this year's race!
What is a virtual race/walk? If you select to participate virtually, registered participants get to choose their course, race date (during race week), and start time. Remember to record your time to submit online via the unique link that will be provided to you after registration. Results will be scored and award certificates will be emailed out to all participants!
The CK5K event raises funds to support the Carolyn Keen’10 Memorial Scholarship that was started in memory of Carolyn Keen ‘10 who lost her life in a car accident in her junior year. Carolyn was a member of the Cross Country and Track team so a 5K is a perfect way to celebrate her talents and contributions to the Gwynedd community and keep her memory alive. The scholarship is awarded each year to a rising Junior at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School who, like Carolyn, has displayed admirable dedication and commitment to her school, and whose family will benefit from the assistance with her tuition.
